Usually, damage to the knee ligaments is caused by sports-related injuries.
Arthroscopy is the use of microscopic cameras and instruments, which are located on the end of long, narrow tubes, to correct damage to the joint. The tubes are introduced into the knee through small incisions.
Knee surgery is performed for: - a torn knee disc (meniscus)
- a damaged knee bone (patella)
- a damaged ligament
- inflamed or damaged lining of the joint (synovium)
