INDICATIONS

A broad-spectrum antiseptic, bactericidal, sudsing skin cleanser for pre- and postoperative scrubbing or washing by hospital operating room personnel; for preparation of the skin prior to surgery; for hand washing to reduce bacteria on the skin; for preoperative use on patients; and general use as an antiseptic microbicide in physician's office. Forms rich, golden lather.

DIRECTIONS

  1. Surgical hand scrub:
    Wet hands with water.
Pour about 5 cc (1 teaspoonful) of Scrub on the palm of the hand and spread over both hands.
Without adding more water, scrub thoroughly for about 5 minutes.
Use a brush if desired. Clean thoroughly under fingernails.
Add a little water and develop copious suds. Rinse thoroughly under running water.
Repeat the entire procedure using another 5 cc of Scrub.
  2. Patient pre-operative skin preparation:
After the skin is shaved, wet with water.
Apply Scrub (1 cc is sufficient to cover an area of 20-30 square inches), develop lather and scrub thoroughly for about five minutes.
Rinse off using sterile gauze saturated with water.
The area may be painted with BETADINE® Solution and allowed to dry.
