Treatment:

Surgical resection is the standard treatment for this tumor.

Expectations (prognosis):

The outcome after surgical resection is usually favorable. Five year survivals after excision are 95%.

Complications:

• bleeding
• airway obstruction
• metastasis to regional lymph nodes (rare)
