Treatment:
Topical antifungal skin preparations will clear candidal infections. Some preparations are available as over-the-counter (OTC) creams and ointments.
Some of these antifungals include: - nystatin (prescription)
- clotrimazole (OTC)
- miconazole (OTC)
- ketoconazole (Rx)
Expectations (prognosis):
The rash usually responds well to treatment.
