Colitis
Definition:
Inflammation of the large intestine (colon).
Symptoms may include abdominal pain, diarrhea, dehydration, abdominal bloating, increased intestinal gas.
Colitis can be caused by a primary disease, irritation of the bowel, antibiotic use, or ulceration.
