Intraductal papilloma

Treatment:

Surgical removal (excision) of the involved duct and the mass of cells, is done for the purpose of biopsy and to assure that cancer is not present.

Expectations (prognosis):

The outcome is expected to be excellent.

Complications:

Intraductal cancer is uncommon and occurs more frequently in women over 50 years old.
