Signs and tests:
Trantas' dots (chalky calculus of the conjunctiva around the limbus) may develop around the limbus (the edge of the conjunctiva overlapping the cornea) from eosinophils.
Tests: A stain of pus from eye showing eosinophils (rarely done) confirms the diagnosis.
