An inherited disease characterized by progressive blindness, juvenile onset diabetes mellitus, obesity, deafness, and normal mental capacity.
Causes, incidence, and risk factors:
This is an autosomal recessive, inherited disorder. The syndrome has a high incidence in Holland and Sweden.
