Question: Is sleep walking normal for children?
Answer: About 1 out of 10 children sleep walk at least once. Sleep walking is often triggered by disruption in regular sleep patterns or a fever. Sleep walking is usually outgrown. Avoid awakening someone who is sleep walking (this frightens the person); simply steer the person back to bed. Try to stay with a bedtime routine to help minimize the problem.
