Choosing a qualified surgeon

surgeon - how to choose a good one

Question:
What is the best way to choose a qualified surgeon?

Answer:
Get educated about the surgical procedure you are about to have. Choose a specialist who has performed many of these procedures and who is "board certified." In addition, speak with some former patients--don't just look at "before" and "after" photos. Avoid choosing a physician from an advertisement alone, and be cautious if a doctor suggests additional surgeries. See choosing a primary care provider.
