Information:
Definition: An obstruction at the base of the bladder that reduces or prevents the flow of urine into the urethra. It may be caused by calculi (stones), scar tissue, bladder or urethral spasms, tumors, or foreign objects. May result in damage to the bladder, ureters, and/or kidneys.
