Sodium bisulfate

Symptoms:


  • body as a whole

  • respiratory
    • asphyxiation (death due to inability to breath) from swelling in the throat (if swallowed).

  • skin
    • brown discoloration around the mouth (if swallowed)
    • brownish stains in the area where the acid contacted the skin (if poisoning resulted from skin contact)

  • gastrointestinal
    • vomiting (may contain coffee-ground-like material)
    • diarrhea (may contain coffee-ground-like material)

  • heart and blood vessels
