Poisoning from the ingestion of salicylate-containing antacids.
Poisonous ingredient:
- aspirin
- sodium bicarbonate

Where found:
aspirin - aspirin
- some cough and cold preparations including Alka-Seltzer Plus cough and cold medicine
- any antacid containing salicylates
sodium bicarbonate - baking soda
- some antacids including Alka-Seltzer
