Definition:
Poisoning caused by consumption of plant material from the Jerusalem cherry.
Poisonous ingredient:
- solanine (very toxic even in small quantities)
Where found:
- Jerusalem cherry
- The toxin is found throughout the plant but especially in the unripened fruit and leaves.
