Serum chromium
Normal values:
Blood chromium levels normally range from 0.30 to 0.85 ng/ml
Note: ng/ml = nanogram per milliliter
What abnormal results mean:
Increased chromium levels may result from overexposure in the following industries: - tanning
- electroplating
- steel manufacturing
Increased levels are also normal at birth; these levels decrease with age.
