Drug-induced tremor

Definition:

A condition in which there is shaking (tremor) that is typically worsened with activity and purposeful movement, is not associated with other symptoms, and is caused by use of a drug or medication.

Causes, incidence, and risk factors:

Drug-induced tremors are a simple muscular response to a medication. Associated medications include lithium carbonate, theophylline, Alupent, cyclosporine, and stimulants such as caffeine.
