Skin lesion of Blastomycosis
Symptoms:
- skin lesion

- under the skin (subcutaneous)
- abrupt downward sloping border
- located on the legs, arms, hands, or face (most commonly)
- surface appearance rough and wart-like

Signs and tests:
The diagnosis is primarily based on the appearance of the lesion and substantiated by a history of residence in a relevant geographical area.
The diagnosis of infection with Blastomyces may be confirmed by skin biopsy. A CBC may show signs of infection, such as elevated WBC, elevated sedimentation rate, and anemia (nonspecific).
