Panic disorder with agoraphobia

Definition:

Unpredictable attacks of anxiety not related to a particular situation (panic disorder) that occurs along with a fear of being in open spaces (agoraphobia).

Causes, incidence, and risk factors:

Panic disorder can occur with or without agoraphobia. The exact cause is unknown. This condition can occur in children, but is often not recognized.
