Subdural effusion
Symptoms:
- fontanelles - bulging
- sutures - separated
- increased head circumference
- fever, persistent
- vomiting
- seizures
Signs and tests:
There is often a history of recent meningitis.
Physical examination may show abnormal transillumination of the skull (when a light is shined against the skull, it may show signs of excessive fluid).
