Ultrasound, normal fetus - ventricles of brain

Overview

Ultrasound

How the test is performed:

The test is done in the ultrasound or radiology department. You will be lying down. A conducting paste is applied to the area to help with the transmission. The transducer (a hand-held instrument) is then moved over the area under investigation. You may be asked to move to other positions to examine different areas.
